First Presbyterian Church Athens, Ohio

To worship and participate in activities at First Presbyterian Church. The church has occupied a site in the middle of Athens since it was organized in 1809 by the first president of Ohio University, Jacob Lindley. Presbyterians played a vital role in the development of the city and the university. Four of the first five presidents of the university were Presbyterian pastors.
